Situated in the beautiful South East of Melbourne was a old, dated brick veneer house that was not suited to our clients medium sized family. The clients wanted to start fresh. The house has been transformed into another Hillis Group masterpiece.

Steve Hillis has an established signature design style and totally transformed the exterior and interior of the house, achieving a great functional layout with added green friendly implementation through out whilst maintaining the exact vision the clients desired.

This whole home renovation included 4 bedrooms in total being stripped back and re- carpeted with  mirrored wardrobe. A colnial style skirt and architraves were also added throughout the whole home.

The kitchen now has a high end finish with a 3D box feature splashback tile that is pleasing to the eye. It leads to a beautiful waterfall end stone benchtop, led strip lighting, oak reveen cabinets, striking appliances, new bi fold windows that achieves the new functional layout. It involved stripping walls, closing off and moving doorways that achieved a larger space and polished and repaired floors throughout the home. The kitchen was built in the 1960’s and was small. It has been completely transformed into a new, well thought-out kitchen that now includes lazy susans and plenty of functional storage hidden aroud the cabinetry.

The overall style flows through each room that picks up subtle blacks, greys and whites with the bathroom not to be ignored. With new floor to ceiling tiles and a beautiful suspended ceiling  that is a custom, stepped bulk head compliments the room by adding more depth and height. This bathroom was extended into the neighbouring bedroom and toilet area to make a large usable space.

There were plenty more upgrades made to this home. Some including heating and cooling, improved  electrics and hot water service (energy saving solution), accoustic and thermal insulation – for added comfort, replacement to all the average, straight, doors to  4 box, wood grain doors and added hardware to gainsborough G4 locks and handles, LED power saving downlights throughout and a complete roof restoration. The list goes on including a new built studio with heating and cooling in the rear yard and a well hidden, large watertank for the clients gardens.

Our client’s final goal was to achieve a large functional entertainment area. This was the icing on the cake. Builder, Steve Hillis says he couldn’t have visioned it any better than what they’d achieved at the end of this project. The outdoor entertainment area is completely set up to entertain for one of those summer night BBQs. It includes a built in kitchen and BBQ with handmade concrete bench tops, beautiful 200mm cypress posts, heating, cooling, 2 fans, a TV and a blue-tooth sound system is are just a few of these requests which were met.

The clients were wowed by the way we transformed their house from an old 60’s building to an ultra-mordern home that accommodates every one of their needs.
